Well, as we all know Ryan has his own agenda with a lot of things, including when he wants to come home. It's looking more like he won't come home until tomorrow or Monday. He's lost a little bit of weight and the nurses and docs want to make sure that he doesn't continue down that path. He' s using a LOT more energy than he was (regulating body temp, nursing/bottle feeding) and he's no longer getting fortified breast milk. So, it may take another day or two for his body to adjust to all of that and gain weight instead of lose it.
Don't worry - we'll keep everyone posted.

Aww, damn !!
However, it's best that he is staying there...this way you all can take things a bit slower...and it gives him time to catch up...he must be so tired....all of these new events happening to him all at once....all in one week.
As you said, he has his own agenda!!
We are all so anxious for our little man to come home !!
I'll keep saying prayers and you two keep smiling...he'll be home soon !!
Love and God Bless,
Aunt Lu, Uncle Joe, Boombotz, Dechi Beanie and Gomez
Damn those nurses! He is losing weight becuase of seperation anxity - he's spoiled - who'd want to come home when you have your own posse of highly attentive aphrodities hovering over you all day.
Here is a thought, take a picture of all those lovely nurses and make a mobile for him over his crib - this way it would be like he never left, and he'll be ready to come home. (don't forget to make a doctor's mask if you need to scare him into eating just in case...)
This leaves a bed open for me right? And anyone who has ever seen me drink a Rolling Rock knows I can suck and breathe at the same time so don't worry - it's an skill any man can adapt to.
Don't sweat it guys - let him chill with his girls and gain a few pounds - he has to let them down easy and still keep his pimp hand strong...
Hang in there...you are almost there and he will be home with his loving family. Remember they grow up so fast so cherish every little moment. You two are such wonderful parents and you have a strong little man on your hands.
Love,
Kelly, Eric, and the little ones
Hey Carolyn and Bill
I did not get to say goodbye in person so I will have to do it via blog.
When I first met Ryan in the delivery room ,he scared the daylights out of me for a minute or two. Once he was pink and crying I knew it would be a long road but he would be just fine.He has mastered every task we have asked of him.We as adults want things to happen when we want and Ryan reminds us that it is not all about our timetable. He is a wonderful little guy with a wonderful and supportive family. I look forward to continuing to watch him grow through pictures and visits.Enjoy him...the time will go fast.Don't sweat the small stuff...it is a waste of time. Look forward to hearing great things and seeing you all soon. Give Ryan a hug and kiss for me! Tammy
Carolyn,Bill,and Ryan,
Why don't I find it hard to believe that Ryan is in total control. He wants things his own way has his own agenda and his own goals. Ryan wants things done his way and has always accomplished that from the very start.
Get ready Bill and Carolyn for a life full of total joy and love, laughter and tears. Having a child is the most amazing blessing.
I am very grateful that I got to know all of you. Taking care of Ryan, cheering him own, seeing him meet the tasks at hand is what gives me the greatest happiness and joy in performing my job. It isn't really a job,it is a passion.
Thank you for allowing me to help in some small way. I won't say goodbye, I will say until I see you again. I am sure of that.
Will visit the blog for updates. Hugs and Kisses Ryan.
Love,
Crazy Nurse Pat
