A Very Happy Weekend

Well, we had a a very busy weekend so this is a day late, but a lot to report!

Saturday we went to Amy's housewarming party where Ryan met his friend Damien! It was a good time had by all.

Sunday was Father's Day and we surprised "GP" with a day trip to the shore. In the picture there are four generations of Graham men! It was a great day and Ryan loved his first of many trips to North Wildwood.

Today we had the much anticipated visit to the GI doctor. His weight is up to 10 lbs 6ozs, he's 22 inches in length and his head circ. is 15 3/4 cm. The doc said that Ryan probably does have a cow's milk allergy and to continue to reduce my dairy intake. I don't have to go crazy over it, just basically eliminate milk, ice cream, pudding and and yogurt. Thankfully there are "soy" alternatives to these and though they aren't the real thing, they'll suffice for now. I can eat some cheeses and have a splash of milk in my coffee but just in moderation.

They also increased Ryan's dose of Zantac to .9 ml three times a day. It used to be .8 ml twice a day. He probably metabolizes the Zantac quickly so increasing the frequency of the dose should help. The doctor gave us pH strips to test Ryan's spit up after being on the Zantac for a few days and if it comes up really acidic then they will change him over to Prevacid. We go back in a month for a follow up visit, but hopefully with the combination of the elimination of dairy and increase of Zantac Ryan's reflux will be managable.

So that's all for now - enjoy the week - it looks like it's going to be a beautiful one!

Back to the beginning

Well today we paid a very special visit to the place where Ryan spent the first 54 days of his life - Lower Bucks Hospital!

First we visited everyone in Grandmom Sue's department in Radiology and then we headed up to the NICU to visit! Boy were they happy to see us! (We were really excited to see them, too)

They couldn't believe how big Ryan is...he's come so far!!!!

Here are some pics with Nurses Pat and Magdalene

Stay cool this weekend everyone!

A Blessed Day

Well we couldn't have asked for a better day. Ryan's baptism was beautiful. He experienced his first Mass (slept right through it) and the ceremony was beautiful. Ryan slept through that, too.

The party was lots of fun and it was so nice to introduce Ryan to the rest of the family and friends. Here are a few pics. If anyone has any others please email them to me at carolynhgraham@hotmail.com.

Thanks to everyone that shared in this very special day!
